Friday, January 18, 2013

A third-quarter cold spell doomed Bronaugh's boys in a 59-48 setback against Northeast Arma in the consolation round of the Tony Dubray Classic in Liberal Wednesday.

The Wildcats trailed, 14-10, after the opening period and 28-23, at halftime.

Although they outscored Northeast, 17-15, over the final quarter, they managed just six points in the third, while Northeast was reeling off 16 for a 44-29 difference heading into the last period.

The 1-2 scoring punch of Patrick Hallam and Blake Hudson kept the Wildcats in contention. Hallam finished with 18 points and Hudson with 17. Josh Willis added seven and Chance Wait six.

Four different players scored in double figures for Northeast, which will play the other consolation winner, Golden City, Friday.
