Nevada volleyball earns Academic All-State honors
Six members of the Nevada Lady Tigers volleyball team have received academic all-state honors.
Lady Tigers head coach Ashley Thoreson said a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale and must have played in at least 75 percent of the team's varsity matches. Lady Tigers meeting those criteria included Regan Kannady, Brooklyn Ryan, Alisha Conner, Megan Mason, Bree Reppert and Morgan McNeley.
"With over half of our varsity team earning this award, I believe it is another great example of the dedication athletes at Nevada High School have," Thoreson said. "I am very proud of these girls for all of their hard work in the classroom and on the court."
The Lady Tigers finished the 2012 season with an overall record of 19-9-4.
