Sharon Ann Goodman
Sharon Ann Goodman, 67, of Gladstone, Mo., (formerly of Schell City, Mo.), the daughter of Earl P. and Wilma Jean (Wayman) Evans was born April 8, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., and passed from this life Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Mo.
Sharon was a 1963 graduate of Rich Hill High School and spent many years living and working as a waitress in that community. She later moved to Schell City, Mo., making this area her home until a few years after the death of her beloved husband, Larry Dean. She then moved to Gladstone, Mo., where she was residing at the time of her death. She also worked for a time at the Nevada Habilitation Center in Nevada, Mo.
Sharon loved her family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed being around them. Early in her life, after the death of her father, her mother married Jim Bain whom Sharon loved dearly. Kevin and Shane remember how they enjoyed going to the casino with her and they have always been proud of the fact that Sharon was not afraid to stand up for her children. Kenny has fond memories of family gatherings -- and how she and Larry enjoyed watching the grandkids play. Lori recalls that her mother would always go the extra mile to make sure to attend her children's activities and the joy that it brought to her life. Sharon spent many happy hours on the phone visiting with her sister, Donna, and she always treasured the time spent with her sister, Dyanna, even if it was just a trip to the grocery store. Her brother, Bob, and his wife, Tera, joined Sharon many times for a trip for fun to the casino. In earlier years, she and Larry would often make a trip to Rockville to Cowboys Bar and Grill, joined by her mother and Jim for tenderloin sandwiches. And Sharon often mentioned fond memories of special trips that she and Larry took with family and friends.
