Tigers to play in Grin Iron Classic

SPRINGFIELD -- Three Nevada High School football players have been selected to take part in the annual Grin Iron Classic all-star football game.

Sam Ellifrits was an All-State lineman for the Tigers in 2012 and was a significant contributor on this year's team, which came up just one game short of playing for a district championship under head coach Wes Beachler. Ellifrits will be joined by Nick Conner and what Beachler called a "once every five years player," in Dalton Hendren.

The Grin Iron Classic features the best high school football players in Southwest Missouri and will be played in Springfield in June.
