Public hearing adresses bridges

A public discussion of a plan to rehabilitate three bridges -- two in Vernon County and one in Barton County -- is July 30 in Sheldon.

The Vernon County Route E bridge over Clear Creek near Milo, the Vernon County Route B bridge over Clear Creek near Sheldon and the Barton County Route F bridge over Horse Creek near Newport are set for rehabilitation in either 2014 or 2015.

The public discussion will start at 5 p.m. at the Sheldon High School Cafeteria, 100 Gene Lathrop Drive.

Missouri Department of Transportation engineers will provide a brief overview of the project beginning at 5 p.m., followed by a general discussion.
