One-vehicle wreck claims life on South Ash

Douglas S. Lukenbill, 50, of Nevada died as the result of a one-vehicle accident that occurred about 3:50 Monday afternoon according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The southbound 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 Lukenbill was driving ran off the right side of Ash Street striking a sign, returned to Ash, and then ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. The truck continued down the ravine ending up in the creek bed.

Lukenbill was pronounced dead at the scene by Vernon County Corner, David Ferry.
