Yukie S. Summers

Yukie S. Summers, 86, Nevada, Mo., passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2013, at the Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada after a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Japan. She was united in marriage to Orville E. Summers in 1951 in Japan.

Yukie grew up in Japan. After her marriage to Orville, they moved to San Francisco where they lived most of their married lives. While living in San Francisco, Yukie was employed by See's Candy as a supervisor. Upon retiring in 1994 she and Orville moved to Nevada. Yukie enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and her dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Orville; several cousins, including Dean and Clela Pullin, Nevada; and one grandson in Japan. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.

Funeral services are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home and will be announced at a later date.
