Lady Buffalos take second in state championships

The El Dorado Christian Lady Buffalos volleyball team traveled to Joplin, last Thursday, to participate in the 2013 MCSAA Girls' Division II Volleyball State Tournament. With a chance to advance to the championship bracket, the Lady Buffalos battled Heartland-Bethel Academy. Senior Emily Jones served five straight points, while Olivia Witt and Brooke Bland played strong at the net to ensure the win in two sets, 25-23 and 26-24. The Lady Buffalos moved on to face Tri City Christian (Independence) for the championship. Kristen Castor served seven straight to bring the Buffalos within two, but Tri-City prevailed.
