2014 Relay for Life 'Kick-off' meeting Tuesday Nov. 19

The Vernon County Relay For Life committee 2014 "Kick-Off" meeting is Tuesday evening, Nov. 19. This informational meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Moore-Few Community Room in Nevada. Anyone interested in forming a team or learning more about Relay For Life and all team captains are welcome to attend. Chili, drinks and dessert will be provided.

This year's Relay For Life Walk has been set for June 27, on the Vernon County Courthouse/Nevada Square and is open to the public.

"Team captains have a critical role in the Relay," Julie Kemper, chair, explained. "They recruit, motivate and encourage fellow team members and work with the Relay For Life Committee. This kick off helps them gather the information to do a great job. Anyone attending who wants to join a team can find one they would feel comfortable with -- or some decide to start their own team."
