Martha Lee Moore

Martha Lee Moore, 76, passed away Jan. 5, 2014, at her home in Moundville, Mo. She was born Feb. 4, 1937, in Dederick, Mo., to Byron Clinton and Viola Anna (Balk) Key.

Martha grew up in the Ketterman area and graduated from Walker High School in 1955. On Nov. 17, 1956, she was united in marriage to Gerald E. Moore in Nevada, and to their union six children were born. She worked for Kellwood Tent Factory in Nevada for four years and then Fram Corporation for 26 years, until her retirement in 2001. Martha had lived in Moundville for the past 42 years.

Survivors include her children, Dale Moore and Tina, of Granby, Mo., Gerald Moore and Joanie, of Bronaugh, LeAndra Overton, of Moundville, Gregg Moore, of Moundville, and Kristina Martin and Lonnie of Pleasanton, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way; three brothers; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; one son David, and one brother.
