Emily K. Horacek - Lakshman R. Tavag
Jeff and Denise Horacek of Darwin, Minn., formerly of Nevada, Mo., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Emily Krystine Horacek, to Lakshman Rao Tavag, son of Satish and Nalini Tavag of Bangalore, India.
Emily is a 2005 graduate of Nevada High School, a 2009 graduate of Case Western Reserve University, and a 2013 graduate of Emory University. She recently received her graduate degree as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Emily is currently living in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she is working as a NICU nurse and a school nurse.
Lakshman is a 2005 graduate of Vidya Niketan in Bangalore, India, and received his bachelor's degree in 2009 from Case Western Reserve University in computer engineering. He currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y., and is working as a Client Solutions Architect at MOAT, an advertising analytic company.
The couple plan to be married in a 4 o'clock ceremony on Feb. 28, 2014, at Gran Melia Golf Resort in Puerto Rico.
