U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler at community center Saturday

Missouri Fourth District Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler will speak at the Nevada County Republicans annual Lincoln Days event, Saturday, March 22, at the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center, 200 N. Ash, at 2 p.m.

Congresswoman Hartzler's remarks will center on the theme of "Fighting for our Freedoms," with specific attention paid to President Obama's health care law, government over-regulation, and cuts to our national defense.

The Congresswoman has stated she believes various components of Obamacare, including the mandate that citizens and businesses pay for abortion coverage, infringe on the First Amendment religious rights of Americans.

She has voiced her concerns regarding over-regulation and its impact on businesses and job creation. She has also spoken at length about cuts to our military and their impact on America's national defense.

Congresswoman Hartzler will be joined by local Republican candidates. Finger foods and refreshments will be provided.
