SPRINGFIELD -- Fifteen El Dorado Christian athletes competed in the 13th annual National Christian Home School Track Championships on May 9 and 10, at JKF Stadium. Nearly 900 athletes from across the nation competed. Athletes age 12 and younger competed in five events and a triathlon. Athletes 18 and younger competed in a pentathlon and up to five more events. In the 10 and younger division, Josiah Batson took second place with 364 points and Jordanne Steuck was third with 659. In the 12 and younger division, Brayden Housh was 10th with 505 points and Ryan Wilkinson was fifth with 760. In the 14 and younger division, Abigail Batson was fifth with 1,213 points, Mindy Harper was ninth place with 787, Colten Pike was third with 1,941 and Drew Steuck was sixth with 1,730. In the 16 and younger division, Ben Middleton took fifth with 1,896 points. In the 18 and younger division, Christanne Middleton was third with 2,291.
