Nevada Fire Captain Kevin Scott said Tuesday that the fire department responded to a house fire caused by a dryer Monday evening.
Crews arrived at the home of Lauren Klinksick on South Elizabeth Street around 6:30 p.m. The first responding fire team found smoke pluming from a front door.
Firefighters entering the home found the fire contained in a dryer. After flames were extinguished, the dryer was removed from the house. Scott said the residence was then vented, and a smoke detector was installed.
A total of 10 firefighters were at the scene for nearly an hour responding to the dryer fire. No one was injured during the incident.
