Nevada Police officers arrested a fugitive listed as one of "Vernon County's Most Wanted," Saturday evening, Aug. 2. Several drug related arrest warrants were on file for the suspect issued in March 2014.
The suspect had successfully eluded authorities for several months until the Fugitive Apprehension Task Force began receiving tips reporting possible whereabouts of this fugitive.
On Saturday, those citizen tips paid off with the arrest of the suspect in the 400 block of N. Osage Blvd.
Taken into custody was Larry Glen Fenton Sr.
Acting on information provided by a concerned citizen, Fenton was arrested during a police surveillance conducted at a local motel. As the suspect left the room, police engaged the suspect and executed the arrest without incident.
Fenton is being held at the Vernon County Jail on warrants issued by the Vernon County Associate Circuit Court on $11,000 cash or surety bond.
The members of the Vernon County Sheriff's Office and the Nevada Police Department continue to partner effectively in the Fugitive Apprehension Task Force.
"We have tremendous support from our public in this endeavor," said Nevada Police Chief Graham Burnley.
Sheriff Jason Mosher said, "Working together, law enforcement can accomplish great things."
