In Thursday evening high school volleyball action, the Bronaugh Wildcats (1-2) edged the Sheldon Panthers (0-2) in two sets, 25-23, and 27-25.

The Wildcats were able to hold on in the second set, after blowing leads of 23-16 and 24-20.

"I think we got down on ourselves, but we all came together and picked ourselves up," Bronaugh senior, Martell Moore said." I think we were best tonight being aggressive at the net."

Panthers coach Lisha Lamb said she was impressed with her team's comeback in the second set.

"Cooperation and keeping the floor covered (led to the comeback)," Lamb said. "They worked together and they were aggressive."

Lamb said going forward the team needs to work on net coverage.

Lamb also said team members Sabrina Nance and Leah Bogart, both of whom are currently ineligible, should become eligible as early as next week.

Wildcat coach James Frank said his players are still "working out some kinks."

"Our chemistry is still not what we need it to be," he said. "When they made the run, we made a fair amount of errors."
