The Nevada Middle School seventh and eighth grade Science Expo is sponsored by the Nevada Rotary Club, who provides category champions with $25 gift cards and the Best of Show champion with a $50 gift card.

The science teachers working on this project include Amanda Pollock, Rachel Fast, and Angie Landoll. They would like to thank those who judged the fair this year -- Jenny Allard, Traci Cliffman, Dr. Brad Copeland, Jennifer Dryer, Dr. Wendy Engeman, Dr. Ganga Fernando, and two students from Cottey College, Bonnie Franklin, Fran Furry, Bryan Gast, Philip Gordon, Jennifer Gundy, Janet Guthrie, Amy Hemphill, Karen Hertzberg, Dr. Ron Jones, Faye Koger, Brian Norton, A.J. Pitts, Bill Rhoads, Lisa Russ, Jill Smith, Alicia Weber, Julie West, Mary Ann Wilson, and Dr. Christy Witt.

Project best displays the scientific method, most originality, obvious the student did the work and display is outstanding. * Hallie Short, Kolors and Kool Aid, Levon Haller Award. Project involves geology or physical science, shows hard work and shows the use of scientific method. * Brock Marquardt, Hunting Troubles, Larry Hurst Award. Project shows Hurst's love of outdoors, hunting and fishing and/or sports. * Lindley Ferry, The Nose Knows, Janet Guthrie Award.
