Youth football in Sheldon

The South Vernon County Cougars will host teams from Appleton City and El Dorado Springs Saturday at the city park. The third and fourth grade Cougars will face Appleton at 10 a.m., with the fifth and sixth grade Cougars playing Eldo following. The third and fourth grade Cougars will play El Dorado Springs Thursday at 6 p.m.

It's the first time for Sheldon to host youth football, noted SVC Coach Jerod Lamb. The Cougars are composed of players from Sheldon, Bronaugh and Walker.
