Submitted photo/ Three Nevada Tiger tennis players were honored during a recent banquet for the team. From left to right: Emma Cheaney, Megan Payne, and Jaden Cherry. Megan Payne proudly displays the trophy she received after being named the team's Most Valuable Player. Cheaney, only a freshman, received the team's Tiger Club award. And Cherry was named the team's most improved player. One of the highlights of the season for NHS tennis came in late-September, when the Tigers No. 3 doubles team of Cherry and Cheaney picked up a first place medal at the West Central Conference tournament held in Warrensburg. Meanwhile, Payne had an excellent season as Nevada's No. 1.
