Eva Readinger
Eva Readinger, 81, of Nevada, Mo., died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 6, 2015, at the Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada. She was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Ivan Ellsworth and Goldie Bell (Swafford) Bowen. She married Delbert Dean Readinger Nov. 3, 1984, and he preceded her in death Oct. 14, 2009.
Eva is survived by her children, Vicky Ray and husband, David, of Tulsa, Okla., Jenet Hill and Martin, of Nevada, Mo., and son-in-law Larry Bailey, also of Nevada; stepchildren, Debra Martin and husband, Larry, Loren Readinger and wife, Julie, and Randall Readinger and wife, Betsy, all of Fort Scott, Kan.; a brother, Bob Bowen, of Toleda, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her husband, Delbert, Eva was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Bonnie Bailey; and a sister, Shirley Sprague.
Per Eva's request, following cremation, the family will have a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in the Memory Gardens of Bourbon County Cemetery.
