NHS boys tumble in Frontenac

FRONTENAC ---- The Nevada Tigers boys basketball team fell to the Riverton Rams 61-41, in the third-place game at the Frontenac Army National Guard Invitational, Saturday afternoon.
After springing an upset on No. 1 seed Prairie View in the first round, Nevada followed up with a loss to Fort Scott in the semifinals.
The loss drops Nevada to 4-10. For Nevada, Brandon Barker dropped in a team-high 14 points.
Junior varsity
The Nevada JV team defeated Skyline 44-37 in the first round of the El Dorado tourney, Monday. Hunter Mason scored 12.
