Boy dies in accidental pond drowning

One child has been confirmed dead from an accidental drowning early Saturday morning northwest of Nevada.
A 911 call was made around 9 a.m. that three boys had fallen through the ice at a residential pond just outside Nevada.
One of the children was treated on scene, and one was transported by the Vernon County Ambulance District and was reportedly treated at a hospital in Kansas City.
The third child was transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
