Ryan Anthony Schlup

Ryan Anthony Schlup, Schell City, Mo., age 14 years, 8 months, and 27 days, beloved son, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend passed from this life into Heaven and the arms of our Lord Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Children's Mercy Hospital, in Kansas City, Mo. He was born June 23, 2000, in Nevada, Mo., the son of Eloy Antonio Vega and Denise Autumn Schlup.

Ryan was currently an eighth grade student at Northeast Vernon County slated to graduate with the NEVC Class of 2019. His interests had included a great love of music and video games, drawing, and he was an emerging writer with a great imagination. He had great love for his immediate and extended family.

Those who survive to mourn his passing in addition to his parents include his siblings, Coltyn Schlup, Samantha Schlup, and Jessica Vega; maternal grandparents, Roy and Cathy Schlup; paternal grandparents, Ada Rosario and Domingo Vega; along with a large extended family, as well as classmates and a community of friends.

A memorial service for Ryan Anthony Schlup is scheduled for noon, Saturday, March 28, at the Northeast Vernon County Elementary Campus in Schell City. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, just prior to the service also at the school.

Contributions may be made to a fund for the family online or at the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, in Schell City. Ryan's very generous family has blessed others with the gift of organ donation so that Ryan may live on, not only in memory, but in service.
