Future kindergartners learn about school

Bryan Elementary held its annual PINK night Monday evening, encouraging parents to bring their "kindergartner-to-be" children to the elementary school to get a taste of what school life will be like.

"It's a fun night," elementary principal Debbie Spaur said of the event, adding sometimes they hear from parents that their young children were disappointed the next day when they realized they do not start school until the fall.

The students got to meet their teachers, participate in games and music and take a ride around the block in a school bus while the students' parents attended an informational meeting.
