Charles "Chuck" Miller
Charles "Chuck" Miller, of Sheldon, Mo., born July 29, 1934, in rural Jerico Springs, Mo., passed away at Landmark Hospital on Friday, April 24, 2015, at the age of 80 years old. Chuck was born to Walter James and Minnie Belle ( Sharron) Miller. Chuck graduated from Liberal High School in 1952. He worked as a printer for Bemis Bag Company in Wichita, Kan., for several years. He owned and operated a service station in Lamar, Mo. He worked for the 3M Company in Nevada, Mo., for 12 years. Chuck was a charter member of the Lamar Optimist Club in 1968. He and his wife Carol also owned and operated Miller Valley Camper Manufacturing Company for 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, of the home; three daughters, Janet Lopez of Joplin, Belinda Greenstreet and husband, Brent, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Teresia Koger and husband, Jeff, of El Dorado Springs, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Debra Brackman and husband, Brett, of Concordia, Mo., and Michelle Ward and husband, Ron, of Nixa, Mo.; a sister, Ona Mae Winship of Liberal, Mo.; a brother, Jack Miller of Derby, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles Allen Miller; one sister, Dorothy Richards of Iantha, Mo.; and two brothers, Bob Miller of Witchita, Kan., and Larry Miller of Overland Park, Kan.
Graveside services for Chuck will be held on Tuesday, April 28, at Liberal City Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at Konantz Warden Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Tuesday, prior to the service.
