Carolyn Sue Neff
Carolyn Sue Neff, 71, Linn Creek, Mo., (formally of EI Dorado Springs) was called home to Heaven on May 2, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 18, 1944, in Cedar County, daughter of James and Eula Hutsell. She graduated from EI Dorado Springs High School in 1962. After high school, she attended a data processing school and was employed by AT&T for six years. In 1969, she married Fred Green. To this union, two children were born: Janelle Elizabeth and David Huston.
Carolyn worked alongside her sister until moving to Camdenton in 1986. On Nov. 26, 1986, she married Bob Neff.
Carolyn worked at First National Bank in Camdenton until retiring in 2008.
Throughout Carolyn's life what she enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends whether it was camping, attending Royals or Chiefs games or hosting them in her home. She loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers, just like her dad.
She also enjoyed attending church at Freedom Church of Christ and spending time with her church family.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Neff, of the home; daughter, Janelle Fugate and husband, Brian, of EI Dorado Springs; son, David Green and wife, Reba, of Lebanon; stepdaughters, Shellie Shadduck and husband, Jon, of DeSoto, and Regina Nicholson and husband, Phil; stepsons, Bobby Neff and wife, Susan, of Camdenton, and Danny Neff and wife, Allissa, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Turner Fugate, Aidan Fugate, Cloie Green, and Buster Massey; stepgrandchildren, Joe Shadduck, Erin Matlock,
Jeremiah Shadduck, Brandon Surles, Shellie Jannise, Melissa Blume, Heather Thacker, Tonya Neff, Bailey Neff, Cameron Neff, and Carson Neff; sister, Marilyn Gannaway of Nevada; brothers, Bill Hutsell of Nevada, Bob Hutsell and wife, Virginia, of Blue Springs, Gary Hutsell and wife, Vicki, of EI Dorado Springs; as well as many other relatives and friends. She will be missed.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Brother Thurman Hux officiating. Interment will follow in the EI Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, at the Allee Holman-Howell Funeral Home, in Camdenton.
Pallbearers will be David Green, Brian Fugate, Turner Fugate, Brian Hutsell, Bobby Neff and Danny Neff. Aidan Fugate and Dustin Gannaway will be honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lighthouse Mission. Donations can be left at either funeral home or mailed to P.O. Box 734, Lake Ozark, MO 65049.
