Helen Christine Roberts

Helen Christine Roberts, 76, of Nevada, Mo., was born April 15, 1939, in Atlantic City, N.J., the daughter of William and Helen C. (Murphy) Gallagher, born into a family of 15 children. She passed from this life on June 16, 2015, at her home.

Helen attended school in New Jersey and worked for a time at Wheaton's Plastics. She later relocated to Las Vegas, Nev., working in hotel housekeeping while living in that area. In 2008, she moved once again, this time to Missouri to be near family and has made this area her home since that time. She was known to enjoy a good scratchers ticket, but loved Bingo most of all.

Those who remain to mourn her passing include her two daughters, Teena (Lippincott) Olvera and husband, Manny, of Nevada, and Patricia Griego and husband, J.R., of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Lippincott, Tammy Lynn, and Mellissa Yvonne Clemente and her husband, John; great-grandchildren, Christopher Michael Tilley, Joe Anthony Castro Jr., Ayevely Naudicaliana Castro, Guiseppe Santiago Castro, Giovanni Ezekiel Castro, Damazzi Angelo Watt, Jeremiah Mark Clemente, Laila Ann Marie Clemente, and Isabella Idella Clemente; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of extended family and friends.

Helen will be laid to rest at a later date with her beloved husband, John H. Roberts Jr., in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City, Nev. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home.
