William Robert Irwin Sr.
William Robert Irwin Sr., 60, Mindenmines, Mo., passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 27, 2015, following a lengthy illness. He was born on Dec. 16, 1954, in Nevada, Mo., to Meryle Junior Irwin and Blanch Margaret (Winscott) Irwin.
William was raised in the Sheldon, Rich Hill, Stockton and Nevada areas. He attended high school in Nevada and Sheldon and worked in the oil fields throughout the world in the countries of Australia and Malaysia and also in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi in the United States. He later worked in construction and in other occupations while in Texas for more than 20 years before returning to this area in 1994.
Survivors include his children, William Robert Irwin Jr., Iantha, Mo., Tabatha Marie Follansbee, Kenedy, Texas, and Scotty DeWayne Irwin, Natchez, Miss.; grandchildren, Abigail Irwin, Dylan Irwin, Bailey Irwin, Peyton Irwin, Alanna Baros, Kieran Follansbee, Christopher Irwin, Tabatha Irwin, Cyrena Irwin and Donna Irwin; four brothers, Walter McNeece, Nevada, Oscar Brown, Vidalia, La., Jack Brown, Vidalia, La., and Charles Irwin, Minn.; two sisters, Margaret Wolf, Rich Hill, Mo., and Irene Irwin, Sacramento, Calif.; and numerous nieces, and nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Hank (Meryle) McNeece.
A memorial service is scheduled at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, July 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
