Doris Ann Delana

Doris Ann Delana, 79, of Nevada, Mo., passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, in Nevada. She was born July 26, 1936, in Lexington, Mo., the daughter of Austin Charles and Rhoda Jane (Rose) Russell.

Doris lived in Lexington during her early life, and then relocated several times before settling in Nevada about 40 years ago. During her working years she was a caretaker for a short time, and while living in Nevada worked for a time at West Side Café and then Medical Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and loved watching western themed TV shows.

Survivors include her children, Alice Gail Fritts and husband, Lynn Schooley, Linda Brown and husband, Richard, and Glen Orender, all of Nevada, and Kimberly Hoskins, of Hot Springs, S.D.; siblings, Dale, Mike, Fern, and George; along with 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; other extended family members and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles, Mae, Emma, Mary Alice, and Lee; and her beloved son, Kirt.

Funeral services for Doris Ann Delana are scheduled at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 10, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, in Nevada. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., just prior to the service at the funeral home.
