Jackie Dean Eagleson
Jackie D. Eagleson, 70, of Nevada, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Nevada Regional Medical Center.
Jackie was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Columbus, Kan., the son of Jack Lowe and Lorene Rose (Heavin) Eagleson. He graduated from High School in Columbus and married Marcia Wesoloski on April 12, 1969, in the First Baptist Church in Shawnee, Kan. Jackie was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked for several GM Auto Manufacturing Plants and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golf. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother, who loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Marcia, of the home in Nevada; a daughter, Tammy Claypool (Travis) of Richards, Mo.; a son, Russell Eagleson of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; six grandchildren, Olivia Eagleson, and Zane, Cole, Kaitlyn, Sadie and Molly, all Claypool's; mother, Lorene Eagleson, Nevada; sister, Virginia Marquardt (Gary) of Nevada; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the Ferry Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Terry Mosher officiating. The family will visit with friends 30 minutes prior to the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Barone Alzheimer's Care Unit with Ferry Funeral Home serving as custodian.
