Dwain LeRoy Mosher
Dwain LeRoy Mosher, 71, Moundville, Mo., passed from this life on Aug. 25, 2015, at Freeman West Hospital, in Joplin, following a brief illness. Dwain was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Nevada, Mo., to Roy and Marie (Hillier) Mosher. He was united in marriage to Karen Jean Ogle on May 27, 1961, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.
Dwain was a lifelong resident of Vernon County. He was the owner of Mosher's Laundry and Dry Cleaning for many years and was a crop, swine, and cattle farmer. Dwain was a proud supporter of the Vernon County Youth Fair, was a member of the Missouri Pork Producers Association and a member of the Missouri Cattleman's Association. Dwain was also a member of the Community Christian Church. When not creating beautiful backyard landscapes, Dwain loved spending time at home with his family, his animals and working on his farm.
In addition to his wife, Karen, survivors include his children, Mark Mosher, Carthage, Mo., and Jill Reed and her husband, Marty, Olathe, Kan.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Mosher and his wife, Stephanie, Harwood; one sister, Wanda Huggins, Springfield, Mo.; and several nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, David.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 28, at Newton Burial Park, in Nevada, with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
