Larry J. Hale
Larry J. Hale, 70, of Sheldon, Mo., passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Barton County Memorial Hospital.
Larry was born March 11, 1945, in Nevada, Mo., the son of William J. and Anna Lee (Gunier) Hale. He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1963 and Southwest Missouri State University in 1967 with a degree in agriculture and a minor in science and history. He married Linda K. Cass on Aug. 4, 1966, in Lawson, Mo., and the couple resided in Sheldon where he was a real estate broker in four states specializing in selling large farms and ranches. Larry was a cattle rancher for the past 20 years and a cherished member of the Republican Inner Circle and Missouri Cattlemen's Association. He also enjoyed flying of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, horseback riding and spending time on his farm with his family.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Sonia, Sheldon; two grandchildren, Kyra and Koby Hale, Sheldon; a sister, Jeanne Holden, Springfield, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Brenda Laney and Billie Ann Chancellor.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, Mo. Friends may call from now until the hour of service at the Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Mo.
