Kate Webb
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 9, at Iantha Cemetery for Kate Webb, 97, of Iantha, who died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Truman Healthcare. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-5 p.m., at Konantz Warden Chapel.

Survivors include one son, Tom Webb and wife, Shirley, of Carthage, Mo.; two granddaughters, Genny Welch (Rob) Carthage, Mo., and Emily Allyn (Tim) Stillwell, Kan.; four great-grandchildren, Quentin Scott, Ashton Welch, Payton Welch and Zella Allyn; brother, Bert; and sisters, Sarah, Ruth, Ann, and Dean.
Mrs. Webb attended Shiloh School. She was a member and very active in the Iantha Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; daughter, Dora Colleen; and brothers and sisters, Mary, Martha, Jesse, John, Jack, and Charlie.
Mrs. Webb was born March 23, 1918, in Alva, Okla., to Bert and Mary Potter.
Kate worked at a young age at McClanahans Liberal, Mo., cooking and cleaning. That is where she met her husband, Oscar, who she married Feb. 26, 1938 (Oscar worked at McClanahans also). Kate was a cook at Liberal school and was a farmers wife helping with the cattle, chickens and milking cows. They moved to their farm in Iantha in the early 1950s.
