Mary L. Mevius

Mary L. Mevius, 68, of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Medicalodge, of Nevada. She was born on Oct. 24, 1947, in Eugene, Ore., to Otis Macklen and Mary E. (Newton) Macklen.

Mary was raised in Eugene, Ore. She was a waitress and bartender in Sheldon and Nevada. Mary enjoyed watching TV and movies, doing crafts and she loved her family and dog, "Little Man."

Survivors include her children, Dee Clinton Puckett and his wife, Lucia, of Nevada, and Misty LouAnn Puckett, of Webb City, Mo.; siblings, Linda Walters of Springfield, Mo., and Pete Macklen of Scotland; five granddaughters, DeeAnna Anderson, Shelby Williams, Whitney Stone, Kurstin McMannis and Bailee Puckett; and one grandson, Justin Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Braelyn Anderson and Isaac Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
