Betty Louise Jones

Betty Louise Jones, 90, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada. Betty was born on Dec. 23, 1925, in Nevada, to John Taylor and Anna (Harpold) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Jones on July 12, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2010.

Betty grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1943. Betty was a homemaker, but she worked for a time at Farm and Home Savings in Nevada. She and Bob owned and operated Coast to Coast Hardware, later known as Sentury Hardware in Nevada. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, John M. Jones and his wife, Tatiana, Nevada, and Daniel R. Jones, Nevada; two granddaughters, Paige L. Jones, and Kaytlyn Jones; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertie Fowler and Anna Mae Tough.

A private committal service will be held at Newton Burial Park, Nevada.
