Bronaugh teams fall at Liberal tourney

The Bronaugh Wildcats fell 38-36 to Liberal Thursday night at the Liberal Tournament, while the Lady Wildcats were defeated by Golden City 55-43.

The Wildcats trailed 17-14 at halftime and 25-20 entering the fourth quarter. Bronaugh outscored Liberal 16-13 in the fourth quarter for the final two-point margin. For the Wildcats, Joe Mader finished with a game-high 12 points, as he knocked down four 3-pointers. Tyler Strunk added 11 for Bronaugh, and Justin Hudson eight.

The Lady Wildcats were tied with Golden City 22-22 at halftime. Golden City outscored Bronaugh 15-13 in the third quarter take a two-point lead. Golden City then pulled away in the fourth, outscoring the Lady Wildcats 18-8. For Bronaugh, Amanda Raper tallied a team-high 14 points, Taylor Stratford 11, and Katey Rider 10.
