Tigers advance to tourney title game

A 26-point performance from sophomore center Clay Gayman, lifted the Nevada Tigers basketball team to a 57-46 semifinal victory over the Wichita Independent Panthers, Friday night at the Kansas Army National Guard Invitational in Frontenac, Kan. With the win, the second-seeded Tigers advance to the championship game where they face No. 8 seed Fort Scott tonight at 6:30.

Nevada opened the tournament with a victory over the Southwest Trojans of Washburn, and were led by Patrick Ferry, who poured in a season-high 20 points. The Tigers are now 10-3 overall.
