The Nevada Lady Tigers swim team is again champions of the West Central Conference. Nevada, who began competing in the WCC in the fall of 2014, is now a two-time conference champion after taking the crown in its first season last year.

The WCC championships took place Thursday at Sedalia Middle School, with a number of Lady Tigers placing first in individual events, as well as first-place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, and 400-yard freestyle relay.

Individual results

* 100-yard butterfly: Morgan Ernsbarger, first-place, 1:06.21; Maddie McCaffree, third-place 1:07.78; Sami Fine, 10th-place, 1:31.00.

* 100-yard breaststroke: Peyton Claypool, first-place, 1:17.93; Melody Reichard, third-place, 1:24.29; Paige Webb, fourth-place, 1:27.94; Grace Palmer, ninth-place 1:41.85.

* 100-yard backstroke: Makayla Haner, first-place, 1:08.67; Janna Scotten, third-place, 1:14.01; Courtney Leeker, 13th-place, 1:33.18; Katlyn Dunfield, 17th-place, 1:41.85.

* 100-yard freestyle: Carlie McCaffree, second-place, 1:01.71; Mikayla Mohrman, fourth-place 1:03.32; Janna Scotten, fifth-place, 1:03.47.

* 200-yard individual medley: Morgan Ernsbarger, first-place, 2:30.14; Makayla Haner, third-place, 2:30.75.

* 200-yard freestyle: Aly Lunkenheimer, third-place, 2:25.77; Virginia Haverstic, sixth-place, 2:48.78; Sami Fine, ninth-place, 2:53.35.

* 50-yard freestyle: Carlie McCaffree, second-place, 27.55; Maddie McCaffree, fourth-place, 27.65; Mikayla Mohrman, sixth-place, 28.83; Melody Reichard, seventh-place, 29.69.

The swim team will depart for Springfield at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, take warm-ups at 12:30, and begin the event at 2.
