Roger C. Jackson Jr.
Mr. Roger C. Jackson Jr., 63, of Forsyth, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, in Cox Branson, Mo. Services will be private.
Roger Caswell Jackson Jr. was born Sunday, Feb. 10, 1952, in St. Louis, Mo., to Roger and Margaret "Peggy" (Melton) Jackson. Roger attended school in Nevada, Mo., and graduated in the class of 1970. He played offensive and defensive guard for the NHS Tigers After graduation, he worked for a railroad construction gang and later moved to Wellsville, Kan., to work as a printer for a commercial printing company. He became disabled in 1988. He then moved to Cedar Creek and in 2005 moved to Forsyth.
He was "one-of-a-kind." He was a hard worker, strong willed, loyal and stubborn, yet, he was helpful and kind hearted. He enjoyed building model cars, watching football and drag racing. He also was an avid fisherman and loved playing pool. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Angie Gammon, Amie Jackson of Nevada, Mo., and Aubrey Cain of North Dakota; four brothers, Wayne Jackson and wife, Vicky, of Ozark, Mo., Guy Jackson and wife, Diane, of Monett, Mo., Jay Jackson of Cedar Creek, Mo., and Mick Jackson of Montrose, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, Mo.
