Robert Maurice Raines Jr.

Robert Maurice Raines Jr., 54, of Lamar, Mo., died unexpectedly at his home, Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

Robert was born July 1, 1961, at Jefferson City, Mo., to Robert Maurice Raines Sr. and Loretta Louise (Bemboom) Raines. He attended Stockton High School and was a driver for Murphy Farms for 13 years. Robert had also worked at the Nevada Wal-Mart before becoming disabled. He loved NASCAR and dirt track racing as well as the outdoors and fishing.

On April 10, 2001, Robert married Sheryl Brockman, in Lamar, Mo., and she survives. Also surviving are his mother, Loretta Penner of Lamar; three sisters, Victoria Mossack, Robin Spencer (Bryan Stewart) of Lamar, and Mary McWilliams of Lamar; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; sister-in-law, Shelly Gibbs (Willie Hastings); and brother-in-law, Jeff (Becky) Brockman.

Preceding him in death were his father, Robert M. Raines Sr.; and a sister, Maxine Grayson.

A gathering to celebrate Robert's life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 17, at Daniel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m., until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

A private family burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
