Nevada middle schoolers break track-and-field records

Two members of the Nevada Middle School track-and-field team had a record-breaking day at the annual Nevada Middle School Invitational, April 14 at Nevada High School.
* In the 1600-meter run, eighth-grader Calli Beshore broke her own record, clocking a time of 5:35.60.
* In the 100-meter hurdles, seventh-grader Tylin Heathman set a new mark with a record-breaking time of 17.55.
* In the boys high jump, seventh-grader Ben Hines broke Roger Kennedy's record of 5-feet 4-inches, set in 1969, as Hines cleared 5-feet 5-inches.
