Her accolades include: Runner-up in discus at 1997 Class 3A state track-and-field meet; Third-place in discus at '98 Class 3A state track-and-field meet; 11th place (discus) at '96 Class 3A state track-and-field meet; three-time Southwest Conference Champion (discus) 1996-1998; 3-time district champion (discus) 1996-1998; NHS record holder (discus, '98) 133'4"; Lady Tiger Golf MVP in 1996 and '97; four-year scholarship athlete at the University of Colorado.

Currently, Compton serves as a minister at Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City, Mo., where she lives with her husband Johnny and daughter Ellie Kate.
