Vernon County Cancer Relief dinner Saturday

Mike Buehler, Vernon County Clerk, was one of the 13 celebrity waiters. Here he serves dinner to local veterinary doctor, Brad Copeland, Saturday night at the Vernon County Cancer Relief dinner.

A cancer survivor herself and recipient of services from Vernon County Cancer Relief, Connie Layton shows off the tickets she purchased for a drawing of various items. Layton was diagnosed in Dec. 2016, underwent successful surgery, followed by five weeks of chemo and six weeks of radiation. Said Layton, “I could not have done it without the help of Vernon County Cancer Relief. The gas cards they provided made it possible for me to get to all my treatments and my latest tests show I’m cancer free.”
