The Nevada Middle School wrestling team, coached by Josh Smith and Jerrod Alexander, opens its season tomorrow in Columbus, Kansas. “Coach Alexander and I, expect our kids to work hard, learn to love the sport, learn how to practice correctly and, learn to compete,” said Smith, who enters his first season in his current position, but has eight years of coaching experience. “We have a lot of young (student-athletes) out for the team. They have worked hard and are going to do very well this season.” Pictured above: The 2017-18 Nevada Middle School wrestling team, front row, l-r: Daylan Harth, Coulter Smith, Joseph Fahnestock, Mokey Dawn, Lotus Van Dyk, Blake Cox, Ethan Dighero, JD Downing, and Braylin Brooks.
