Clifford Eugene Leonard
Clifford Eugene Leonard, 62, Milo, passed away on Monday, Nov. 13, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. Cliff was born Sept. 22, 1955 in Cabool, Mo., to Eugene and Velma Irene (Pierce) Leonard. He was united in marriage to Cindy Sue Castlebury on Jan. 7, 1973 at the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Milo and she survives of the home.
Cliff came to the family farm near Milo from Cabool with his family at a young age. He attended school in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1973. Cliff worked at Fram Corporation in Nevada for 21 years and at 3M Nevada for the past 13 years. He was proud of his Native American heritage and was of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and woodworking. Cliff most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Cindy, he is survived by two sons, Brian Leonard, Milo, Byron Leonard and his wife Tammy, Warsaw, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Cody Leonard, Justin Leonard, Briant Leonard, Isabell (Boo) Leonard, Landyn Patton, Matthew (LJ) Leonard, David Bly; two sisters, Karen Davis and her husband Randy, El Dorado Springs, Sharon Simmons and her husband Ray, Taberville, Mo.; one brother, Dale Leonard and his wife Cindy, Wichita, Kan.; mother-in-law, Ruby Wright and her husband Charles, Sheldon; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Brandi in 1988.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Milo. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
