Lady Tiger tennis team recognized at postseason awards banquet

The Nevada Lady Tiger tennis team held its postseason awards banquet on Nov. 2 at the Bowman Building. The Lady Tigers tennis team, coached by Samantha Short and Ron Del Rosario, has had a phenomenal two-year run, winning the 2016 Class 1 District 12 championship, while compiling a 25-5 overall record. In addition, senior Emma Cheaney and junior Erika Watanabe made the All-West Central Conference team, while, sophomore Hallie Short was WCC Honorable Mention. Team awards went to: Emma Cheaney, Most Valuable Player; Hallie Short, Most Improved Player; and Eden Fisher, Tiger Club award.
