Charles Wesley Morton

Charles Wesley Morton, 43, Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Nevada. Charles was born Aug. 30, 1974, in San Antonio, Texas, to Earnest Charles and Carolyn Louise (Taulbee) Morton.

Charles was raised in Texas and also in Nevada. He attended Nevada High School and graduated in 1994. Charles served in the United States Army for two years. Following his service years, he returned home to Nevada and worked in Harrisonville at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center for 10 years. He then worked at Carlisle Manufacturing in Fort Scott for a time and currently was working for Custom Drying Solutions where he had been the past four years.

Survivors include four children, Wesley Seeley, Nevada, Carolyn Morton, Nevada, Kaitlyn Morton, Nevada, Austyn Morton, Nevada; one grandson, Kayden Good, Nevada; father, Charles Morton, Georgetown, Texas; two brothers, Robert Verri, La Vegas, Nev., and David Swain, Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother.

A private memorial service was held on Sunday, Dec. 10, in Nevada.
