Lady Tiger tracksters place fifth at Carthage High School meet
Competing in their third event of the season on Thursday, the Nevada Lady Tiger track-and-field team placed fifth at the 11-school Carthage Invitational.
“This is our second toughest meet of the season,” explained NHS head track-and-field coach, Kirk Miller. “We had some kids that really shined at this very competitive meet.”
Added Miller: “This meet was a great measure of what the (May) championship series will be like. We have some work to do, but we also had some really bright spots last night.”
• Lady Tiger first place finishers, were: Calli Beshore, 1600 meter run; Sydney Ernsbarger, 400 meter dash; and Kaeth Zachary, 300 meter hurdles.
• Lady Tiger second-place finishers, were: Tylin Heathman, Zoie Farmer, Ernsbarger, and Zachary in the 4-by-400 meter relay.
• The Lady Tigers lone third-place medal, was achieved by Besore in the 800 meter run.
