The Nevada Middle School track-and-field team recently put the finishing touches on a record-breaking season, with a terrific showing at the season-ending Tri-County Conference meet. Led by coaches Marsha Hooper, Shaun Gray, Forrest Drury, and Neil Barnes, along with team-managers Jacie Starlin, Alexa Gray, and Kelsie Gerster — the NMS seventh and eighth-grade teams were comprised of 99 student-athletes. The total combined medal haul this season for the NMS seventh and eighth-graders, was: 177 gold medals, 148 silver, and 160 bronze for a grand total of 485.
