Nevada upended by Springfield Catholic
It was a tough day on the tennis courts Monday for the Nevada Lady Tigers, falling to Springfield Catholic in a Big 8 Conference cross-division home match, 9-0.
The loss moves Nevada to 4-3 overall.
• At No. 1 singles, Nevada’s Erika Watanabe fell to Erin Jarvis, 2-8.
At No. 2 singles, Hallie Short was tripped up by, Claire Griesemer, 2-8.
• At No. 3 singles, Eden Fisher was blanked by Ashley Andrews, 0-8.
• At No. 4 singles Carlie McCaffree was toppled by Lauren Neu, 1-8.
• At No. 5 singles Alexis Leighty was downed by Jayoung Lee, 0-8.
At No. 6: Peyton Claypool topped by Elizabeth Tines, 1-8.
At No. 1 doubles, Short-and Fisher fell to Griesemer and Andrews, 2-8.
At No. 2 doubles Watanabe and Leighty were topped by Jarvis and Neu, 2-8.
• At No. 3 doubles McCaffree and Koenig were defeated by Lee and Tines, 1-8.
